Some things come every year without fail: taxes, non-Leap Day birthdays, and impressive updates to the existing Chevy truck lineup. According to the industry insiders at GM Authority, the Silverado 2500HD is expected to receive a number of tantalizing new standard features, packages, and options for the 2021 model year. Here’s a look at what we can expect.
Five stunning new special editions will be offered on the 2021 Silverado 2500HD, including a Midnight Edition, LTZ Premium Texas Edition, and Z71 Sport and Chrome Sport Editions. Additionally, a Carhartt Special Edition will be available that features Carhartt-branded badging, specially-embroidered headrests, and stylish 20-inch wheels.
In place of the standard 40/20/40 bench seat split typically seen in the front row of the LT, Custom, and Work Truck trims, the 2021 Silverado HD is expected to now come with covered storage in the armrest and under the seat.
One of the most exciting new features for the 2021 Silverado 2500HD is wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, which means you will no longer need to tether your phone to a USB cable in order to seamlessly mirror your smartphone’s UI to your truck’s infotainment system. The Work Truck trim of the 2021 Silverado 2500HD will have twice as many available USB ports and gain SiriusXM® radio.
