General Motors Chair and CEO Mary Barra confirmed during her 2022 CES keynote address that Chevrolet will launch the Chevrolet Equinox EV in the 2024 model year.
The popular Chevy Equinox compact SUV will get an all-electric version in 2023 with the new Equinox EV. Chevrolet will build the 2023 Chevy Equinox EV on its innovative Ultium Platform, with RS and LT trim levels available.
Chevy hasn’t released information yet about the performance or range of the Equinox EV, but photos show that it shares styling cues with the rest of the Chevy EV lineup. The LED light bar that spans the hood and the sleek, futuristic stance make the Equinox EV look right at home with the upcoming Silverado and Blazer EVs.
Since the Silverado EV will be equipped with standard Chevy Safety Assist, we can guess that the 2023 Equinox EV will also come with that suite of active safety technologies. And the gas-powered Equinox is loaded with infotainment technology like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, so the upcoming Equinox EV is sure to sport many of the same amenities.
The Equinox EV helps to round out the upcoming lineup of Chevy EVs. The Equinox is a perfect daily driver for families, with a spacious cabin and flexible cargo options. The sporty Blazer EV is there for weekend adventures, and the Silverado EV delivers the rugged performance and towing capabilities you need for work or play.
